As I was sifting through countless web sites offering endless lists of eco-friendly gift ideas, I came across a gift at uncommongoods.comthat is not only gentle on the environment, but hand made in Rhode Island and sufficiently mushy for the gift-giving season. It’s a sort of journal made out of cotton and paper called “12 Ways You’ve Made a Difference”. It is perfect for those people who read Nicholas Sparks books with a box of tissues and are shocked when someone dies at the end. Each page has the beginning of a sentence, for example “The best advice you ever gave me…”, or “Something I never told you…”. Then you finish the sentence according to whomever is receiving it. It’s a great way to let someone know how much you care without having to think too hard.
