E-Cycling: A chance to give back

So here are Green Life Smart Life you can see we are looking for new ways to recycle old and unwanted electronics. In earlier posts, we told you about the new Toshiba and Radio Shack  recycling programs.

Today as I was reading Julie Jacobson’s editor’s note in the November CE Pro she brought this awesome website to my attention. The Telecommunications Industry Association’s E-Cycling Central website gives you a state by state listing of where you can drop off your old electronics for recycling. While they don’t give cash back like some of the other programs we have mentioned, these electronics are destined for a better cause. Alot of particpating recyling centers refurbish the old electronics and give them to schools, charities and other programs. So next time you are faced with the task of getting rid of old electronics, think before you kick them to the curb. Don’t you want them to have a chance at a second life?
